there's a part of me that's a fighter.
and a part of me that knows when to quit.
both of these parts like lists.
both of these parts thing gabi is probably being incredibly sensible in writing a 52 tasks in 52 weeks list.

1001 days is a long time at my age. especially as i happen to be a temp so there's no guarantee that i'll have money to do anything on my list within the deadline.

so i think i may follow suit.
i may write a list of 52 things to do in 2009. this will be a list of little things like going ice skating, framing my david choe, crossing abbey road, etc.
then there will be a further list of things i'd like to achieve in the not-too-distant future. this is the list that will be made up of travel destinations, growing up stuff, more vague things to aim towards without feeling pressured by a deadline and an impending sense of failure after 3 years or not trying hard enough.

i think that's probably the way to go with this. i'll check out my 101 list and see if it's workable.

Tylers christening today was lovely. He did so well, bless him, right up until the head wetting part. And the bit where he chucked my order of service at the vicar. Apart from that he was good as gold!

its my first day at work today
i know im still working in the same company but ive been transferred so i'll be a complete newbie again. i don't think i'll be any good at this new job.
i've got first day jitters... but with the added pressure of knowing that if i screw up or don't get it, i'll look stupid in front of my friends as well as my colleagues. i'm starting to wonder if i should have stayed at all. after having a week off and not even missing the place, i'm not sure going back is a wise idea.
of course, i have to. i can't be unemployed. but i'm terrified.
i've also only had three house sleep. not for lack of trying, just because i couldn't sleep last night. my mind was full of stuff.

why hasn't my radio alarm gone off? it's 40 minutes late.

Feeder are not. They soundchecked Shade, which I haven't heard live since probably about 2001.

I only got home half an hour ago.
